Megatrends are trends that have a large effect on every aspect of life globally. They are long-term driving forces of change that are observable in the present, and will continue to have a significant influence for a few decades into the future.
Study the 14 megatrend cards and note how these relate to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- What connections do you see between the megatrends and the SDGs?
- Focus on one megatrend and consider
- How relevant or important is this megatrend for you as an individual?
- How could this megatrend evolve over the next 5-10-20 years?
- How important is the trend for influencing the EU’s or your country’s place in the world? This could be in terms of e.g., competitiveness, or political influence.
- How important is the trend in shaping the future of your field?
