Kick-off session (instructions for team meeting)

Instructions for team meeting in breakout rooms:

  1. Introduce yourselves (name, university, study programme plus anything else you want to share).

  2. Teambuilding
One person should open the link to the Spin the wheel activity and then share the screen. Click on the wheel and take turns to answer the questions that appear. Spend a maximum of 10 minutes on this activity. Appoint one group member to keep track of time.

  3. Comparison of personal cultural profiles
Everyone should open their personal cultural profiles (which you were asked to complete before the kickoff). One person should download and open the empty template in this link and share their screen. Everyone should then choose the "Annotate" function, pick a different color, and then mark the boxes and draw the line as how it appears on their own profile. Having all the lines on the screen will make it easier to see where the similarities and differences may lie. Here is an example of what it might look like. Discuss what you see and how this might affect your work within the team. One person in each team is expected to report on the discussion to the rest of the group.

  4. Book a team meeting
    Compare calendars and
find a suitable day and time at the beginning of next week for your first team meeting. Your team mentor will join the meeting so make sure the date is suitable for them too. Please note the time difference. Decide who will send the meeting invitation.
