*Progress towards the SDGs
The Sustainable Development Report (SDR) reviews progress made each year on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) since their adoption by the 193 UN Member States in 2015.
Task 1:
Open the two links below. Read the executive summary of the report and study the interactive maps showcasing the performance of countries on each of the 17 SDGs.
Task 2:
Write a response to the questions below. In your response, you should express and support your opinion and make a contribution to the discussion. Write about 300 words. In addition, respond to at least one comment made by another student with another 100 words.
- What progress has been made towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals?
- What countries and states are making the most progress and in which areas?
- Which goals seem easier to achieve and which ones are more difficult? What factors could affect this?
