How to use negotiation skills to reach a team consensus

According to Cambridge Dictionary, negotiating refers to the process of discussing something with someone in order to reach an agreement.  

The primary goal of negotiation should be to achieve a mutually acceptable deal that accomplishes the objectives of the negotiation, without making the other party walk away or damaging a valuable relationship.  

In this part of the course, you will be presenting your own best solution ideas to the rest of your team. You will need to discuss and critically assess the solutions that are presented and together decide on one solution idea that you want to develop further. To do this successfully, you will need negotiation skills.
